Kathleen Zoehfeld is a writer and editor of nonfiction children's books. She grew up in the Catskill Mountains, where she developed a passion for observing, reading and writing about nature. Zoehfeld is a former children's book editor and an award-winning author of many books for young people on natural history and scientific topics.
Franklyn M. Branley was a co-founder of the Let’s-Read-and-Find-Out series, and he has written more than 140 popular science titles for children including What Makes a Magnet? He lives in Sag Harbor, NY.James Graham Hale has illustrated numerous children’s books, including another Let’s-Read-and-Find-Out-Science book, How Mountains Are Made by Kathleen Zoehfeld. He also illustrated Ann Turner’s Reading Rainbow selection Through Moon and Stars and Night Skies. He lives in Granville, OH.
