Rosina Lippi was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 14, 1956. She received a PhD in linguistics from Princeton University. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as a professor. She writes the Wilderness series under the pen name Sara Donati.Sharan Newman is a longtime member of the Medieval Academy, has served on the advisory board for the Medieval Association of the Pacific, and is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of California- Santa Barbara.
