Joe Snuffy is a police officer in a metropolitan area with almost 10 years experience working uniformed patrol and other specialized assignments. He is also a firearms instructor, defensive tactics instructor, and a field training officer. He is a member of a part time SWAT team and also serves as a police sniper.In addition to his law enforcement experience, he also served in the US Army in a special operations unit and has 23 years of martial arts experience.He holds numerous teaching certifications for police defensive tactics disciplines and is a certified instructor for one of the martial arts organizations he is affiliated with.

James Wesley Rawles was born in Livermore, California in 1960. He received a BA degree from San Jose State University. He served in the U. S. Army as an intelligence officer from 1984 to 1993. He worked as an associate editor and regional editor with Defense Electronics magazine and was the managing editor of The International Countermeasures Handbook.
