Dr. Jessetta Cargus Nwagwu is an Optometrist and native of Birmingham , Alabama . While studying Biology at Talladega College , she began to write and act in plays for her sorority-Alpha Kappa Alpha. Her love for writing deepened when she entered an original poem, entitled "Sisters", into the AKA Southeastern Conference Poetry Writing Contest and won. "I've always loved to write," she says. "My life can be rather hectic at times, and writing is a wonderful escape."
